Really funny dubbing and a bundle of nice fast paced fights.
This is a nice old school Kung Fu flick with a pretty basic plot, bloke kills some important fellow then goes on the run, Emperor sends his best fighter to catch him and fighting ensues! Fast paced fights for the most part, though I must say all the fights involving the main bad guy were a bit slow/jerky obviously practiced… not as flowing as you would like to see really! Though that is just the fights with him, the rest of the cast when they fight each other don’t have that problem at all and especially the scenes between John Lui and Wong Tao these I have to say are really good quality well choreographed fight scenes and probably worth watching this for on their own!
The dubbing is really funny in places, although in general I would say I hate dubbed films and would always rather watch with original language I must confess that since I was brought up on poorly dubbed KF flicks it seems almost right to me that they should be this way… so in fact in this genre of old school KF and this genre only I believe that a poor dub can add something to the overall enjoyment of the film!
This is a really good Martial Arts flick, just the ticket for an evening with a few friends. If this kind of thing is your bag then Death Duel of Kung Fu is a particularly enjoyable Movie of this genre. Buy it… you won’t be disappointed!
