Review

Ken Tsui plays his harmonica in the street, a passing person gives him 10 dollars which is stolen by two hoods, Ken kills both hoods, from this point on I kind of know I’m not going to like this movie from its style to the music that’s being played. You next see him in prison with flashbacks to his life previous where he’s the brother of a business man (Triad Group), he has to do a job for his brother and this is when he is arrested and sent to prison. He’s on death row but whilst being moved he escape’s whilst someone attacks the van.

Whilst on the run he still manages to get a job to kill someone which he doesn’t end up doing, it’s the mother of the prostitute he met earlier in the bar of his hotel, he then goes back and kill’s the person who gave him the job in the first place. The bar he’s in is that of his mentor; the person we saw at the start of the movie. Before long his brother finds that he is out and goes looking for him, for some unknown reason a dodgy copper is also after him. Needless to say all three paths cross and people get killed.

The film actually ends up being ok it’s just not my style of film making and not something that i would choose to watch, some people would find this a better movie than I did. The picture quality isn’t A1, its not a massive budget but the audio quality is ok. If you like some of Woo’s early action movies then this could be your cup of tea.
